Dr. Bill Barron
Dr. William, (Bill) Barron has been licensed and practicing in Benicia since
1984. He is the founder of Benicia Family Therapy Clinic. He is a Professor of
psychology at John F. Kennedy University and trains therapists. Bill also works
with the state of California Board of Behavioral Sciences, (the Marriage and
Family Therapist licensing board), as a subject matter expert and expert
witness. His philosophy of psychotherapy is “facilitating greater life
satisfaction by examining the self in relationship with others.”
Adult individuals often face life-transitional difficulties that impact relationships
and cause symptoms. By examining these difficulties in the safe environment
with an experienced therapist, increased choices and symptom abatement can
often be navigated.
Couples face unique life stressors. Children, money, sex, power, in-laws, etc.
often provoke lapses in effective communication and couple connectedness.
Discussing these difficulties with a neutral, non-judgmental, experienced
clinician will encourage greater connectedness, and can usually yield results.
Older adolescents face many life uncertainties. Moving toward adulthood and
making decisions about the self in relationship with others is difficult. When
peer temptations cause problematic decision making, and when mood
changes get in the way of appropriate late-adolescent functioning, therapist
intervention can often be helpful.
Deciding to see a therapist is a big decision. Be assured that your decision will
be treated with respect and professionalism.
